PERMANENT JEWELLERY BY STUDIOKATE

TERMS & CONDITIONS

PERMANENT JEWELLERY INFORMATION

Permanent jewellery refers to custom-fitted pieces that are securely welded using a small jump ring, allowing continuous wear without a clasp. Each piece is crafted from high-quality materials, including Sterling Silver 925, Solid Gold, and Gold Filled, selected for their durability and suitability for long-term wear.

While designed to be long-lasting, permanent jewellery is not indestructible. Breakage may occur if the jewellery is caught, put under excessive strain, or not properly cared for. With appropriate care, your jewellery can last for many years.

The term “permanent” refers to intended continuous wear, not that the jewellery must be worn forever. Pieces can be removed at any time and adjusted if required.

AFTERCARE RECOMMENDATIONS

To help maintain your jewellery:

• Avoid excessive exposure to chemicals such as perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products
• Limit exposure to seawater, chlorine, and hot tubs to reduce the risk of discolouration
• Rinse jewellery after contact with water, sweat, or chemicals
• Take care during physical activities to avoid damage, stretching, or breakage

Cleaning Tips

• Rinse with lukewarm water and dry with a soft cloth
• Use a soft cloth regularly to remove oils and residue
• For a deeper clean, use mild soap, lukewarm water, and a soft toothbrush

For recommended cleaning products, please contact By Studiokate.

ADJUSTMENTS & CUSTOMISATION

Each piece is custom-fitted during your appointment. You will be asked to confirm that you are happy with the fit before welding takes place. Please bear in mind factors such as temperature, swelling, and lifestyle when choosing your size.

After fitting:

• If your jewellery is too loose, it can be adjusted (additional charges apply)
• If too tight, a new chain, connector, or clasp may be required (additional charges apply)

It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm sizing prior to welding. Adjustments can be made afterwards but may incur additional costs and may be subject to appointment availability.

Additions

Charms and connectors can be added after fitting for a small service fee plus the cost of materials.

BREAKAGE POLICY

If your jewellery breaks:

• At the weld point (within 12 months): this will be repaired free of charge
• Along the chain: we may be able to repair it for a small fee

If the chain is beyond repair, a replacement chain must be purchased.

Charms and connectors can usually be reused, although additional jump rings may alter the appearance of the piece.

This policy does not apply where a fault is due to a manufacturing or material defect, which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

FAULTY JEWELLERY

By Studiokate uses high-quality materials sourced from trusted suppliers. If you believe your jewellery is faulty, please contact us so the item can be assessed and an appropriate resolution offered.

Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected.

AIRPORT SECURITY & MEDICAL PROCEDURES

Airport Security
Permanent jewellery is typically safe to wear through airport security; however, removal is at the customer’s discretion.

Medical Procedures
Certain procedures (such as MRI scans or surgery) may require jewellery removal. This can be done safely by cutting the jump ring (not the chain). Guidance can be provided, and a complimentary reweld appointment can be arranged afterwards.

If you have any medical conditions, allergies, or concerns, please seek professional advice before your appointment.

APPOINTMENTS & STOCK AVAILABILITY

We aim to offer a wide selection of chains, charms, and connectors. However, due to demand, some items may occasionally be unavailable.

If you have specific requests, please contact us at least 7 days prior to your appointment so we can try to source your preferred items.

PRICE CHANGES

Prices may be adjusted at any time due to fluctuations in material costs. If you have already secured a booking, your quoted price will be honoured. Updated pricing will apply to new bookings only.

LIABILITY

By Studiokate will always aim to provide services with reasonable care and skill and supply products of satisfactory quality.

However, we are not responsible for damage, breakage, or loss resulting from normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or failure to follow aftercare advice.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for faulty goods, negligence, or failure to provide services with reasonable care and skill.

By booking an appointment or purchasing jewellery from By Studiokate, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
